Before we download another 1.6 GB, is there any chance at all that even the tiniest bit of testing has taken place with the Mac Client please?
To be honest, now that so much effort is being devoted to the Station environment rather than the Space and Ships, I am inclined to think I might just as well give up and go back to TheSims3 - although EA never bother to test the Mac Client updates either
As I now have five active accounts, not being able to play or crashing out every time I undock or jump is getting a little tiresome - not to mention expensive.
Incidentally, with my Broadband, 1.6 GB will take over 2 hours at least.
Of course, looking on the bright side, this new update might not be the total disaster than Incarna was |

I just tried to add to the Training Queue for one of my characters - and was advised the Subscription has expired
Result! - at least one subscription will not be wasted while Mac users wait for Post-Release Testing to help deal with the usual bugs.
With Incarna I think it was at least a week before it was possible to login and leave the Station without crashing, plus at least one restart to re-acquire the target asteroids and fill the hold with ore.
Let's hope this one is better than that. |

Due to the dangerous nature of altering the fabric of spacetime in such ways, the feature will be turned on at a slightly later date. This is to provide isolation from other fundamental alterations to the machinations of the universe in order to reduce the chances of total protonic reversal.
When do you plan to turn this on? Can you give a time frame? (i.e. this year, within a couple of months, etc.)
I suppose this is what they mean by Time Dilation |

Thanks for the multiple "Your download is corrupted and cannot be installed, would you like to re-download Y/N," messages.
I'd rather just download a patch that works and not the whole damned game again, as that deletes all saved OV settings.
Again, it seems no one double checked the Mac client patch to make sure it worked before putting it out there.
Thanks CCP for disregarding us again. We feel the love.
Hate to say 'I told you so' as I would much prefer to have been proven wrong here.
Sorry CCP but for a paid service a proper UAT and QA system is not optional. This includes ALL paying clients, whatever their chosen hardware. |
